BD Gift for Nephew

So what is one to create for a male relative in his 20's? It was a tough decision, as men are not as easy to sew for as women are. As I thought about it, I thought about my nephew's love of cars. I also remembered he had given me a list of cars he wanted to own some day.

That is when an idea came to mind - I could put pics of his favorite cars on fabric and make them into a quilt. Turned out the idea was the easy part. Everything after that took a lot of time... including what fabrics to choose and what to design.

But I did it and he loved it! Here is the finished quilt... made with love, by Aunt Patty.

Here is the front of the quilt (the black binding did not show up well due to my lack of photography skills).

And this is a close up of the quote I embroidered on the back.

After this project, I was so tired of sewing for hours on end that I have not been back to sewing/embroidery since! Hopefully, I will get rejuvenated soon, as there are many projects yet to complete.

Graduation Gift for Niece

My niece will be an Aggie soon. I thought she would enjoy some monogrammed Aggie pillowcases, made with love, by her Aunt. She did!

I can't wait to see how they look in her dorm
room!
