NoteBook Cover for Nathan

Made a SpiderMan Art Notebook for my 8-yr-old nephew's February BD. (With this one, I decided to sew rather than glue so the cover on the notebook can be taken off if it needs to be laundered.)

I also made some pouches for the inside of the notebook for his art supplies. Using my Kaleidoscope software, I made a star image on fabric for the front of one pouch -

For the other pouch, I used fabric only. The fabric had Buzz LightYear, so I figured he would like it plain too. On the 2nd pouch, I got a little smarter and added the tabs BEFORE I sewed the pieces together and zipper in.

Here is the inside of the notebook with SpiderMan goodies and items home-made with love by his Aunt Patty.

And then all wrapped up and ready to mail...

Quilt for 3-yr-old Nephew

I've been working on this quilt for a couple of months now. I think I started it in January and finally finished it about 3 weeks past my 3-yr-old nephew's BD. He loves cars and I thought he would enjoy this fabric with race cars. Turns out he loved his quilt. He used it as toy... sat on it and played with his cars (wish I had a picture).

Here are pics of the front and back of the quilt. To make my quilt "unique" (i.e. a Patty Touch), I quilted around the cars and streets. It made the cars puff up a bit (for a 3D-ish look). The back looked like chaos, but I figured it was all about the cars in front any way.

Here is a close-up of the personalization, using my Embird Font software.
