Friend's Baby

My friend is about to adopt a baby girl. Here are gifts I made for baby Gabby. (I have so many friends that love dogs. I figured a doggie and hearts bib would be nice. ) The bibs are made out of flannel on the back and front (solid pink on back) and are outlined with fun ribbon.

And I made a "cheat" quilt. It is Raggedy Ann & Andy fleece on the front, so I figured I did not need batting. (Also, did not want to make it too warm, so I left the batting out for that reason too.) The back is matching Raggedy Ann and Andy cotton fabric.

But I did quilt (stitch vertical and horizontal lines) across the entire blanket. Now, Amy will be satisfied that I have made a quilt! (Right Amy?) But I still can't see myself doing this much more. They are as time-consuming as I had imagined, which would mean some friends or family members would go without gifts as I ran out of time. :-(

It included the baby's name and birth date embroidered on a corner near Raggedy Ann.
