Special Nephew's BD Gifts
My oldest and most special nephew had a BD this week. He loves tennis, so I made some personalized tennis towels as part of his BD gifts. (One of the designs reminded me of him.)

May - June 2007
I do have some completed May & June gifts. But the recipients have not seen their gifts yet, so I will have to post later.
A May project for myself was the landscape quilted wall hanging I made with my sewing friends at Amy's house. With the instruction and patience of Ronnie, I was able to complete my first art quilted wall hanging. As good luck has it, it matches with my bedroom colors so it ended up there.
Easter 2007
My first quilted wall hanging. I used an Amy Bradley kit for the pattern and then sifted thru my fabric stash for choices in fabric. It was such a busy time of year that I could not complete it until Easter Day. I was so determined I would, though, that I made it and hung it that day (and then left it a few days past Easter).
March 2007 Home Decor
There was not much time for sewing & such during tax season, but just a little personalization on a hand towel can make all the difference in a bathroom. I embroidered this one for my bathroom.

Feb 2007 - Love is In the Air
Winter Hats for the Baby
2007 Begins With Home Decor
I purchased this basket and made my own lining for it. It was a little weird to make the step, especially without a pattern, but it worked out. And then I got to use my Font Engine software that Chris had bought me as a BD gift. He even helped me to make word art. We use the basket to put items that are in transit from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor. It gets used on a daily basis.
Inspired by A Gift To Me
My friend, Jo, gave me a towel wrap for my head some time ago. I liked the concept so much that I decided to make more as personalized gifts to give. Here are my renditions of personalized head towel wraps (or turbons).
Dollie's and Kelci's included a matching DVD/CD holder in their favorite colors.
Here is Dollie trying on her turbon.
