More to Come

Jan 2005 through Nov 2006 posts are still yet to come, when time allows. Stay tuned...

2006 Gifts

I made customized pillow cases (mostly fleece) for 9 of my 10 nephews and nieces. The oldest lucked out and got an entire Dallas Cowboys fleece throw I made for him to take to the Christmas Day football game. But I didn't get a picture of it, as I had intended.

Kids w/Gifts Christmas 2006

Here are most of the kiddies as they opened the gifts I made.

Gifts for my friend, Sophia's, 8th BD in Dec. 2006. I didn't make the dog pillow. I just personalized it after I took it completely apart. (For a bit there, I thought I was not going to be able to put it back together.)

Miscellaneous Gifts - 2004

Here is a smorgasbord of gifts I also made that busy year of 2004. After being so frantic that Christmas, I swore I would never do that much again. But 2 years later, there I was trying again.

There was the Tinkerbell pillow for Alexis (niece); the pokercard scarf for Dad; the computer keyboard cover, tissue cover, and scarf for Dr. K (friend); the Yu-Gi-Oh sweatshirt for Brother (nephew), and the kitchen towel for Jo (friend).

More Misc Gifts - 2004

For Tanya's (niece) BD, I made a door hanger, a fabric gift wrap, and personalized a lunch bag. For my friend Kerry, I made a pillow in memory of a 15-yr-old dog she lost and a basket with doggie embroidered items that Christmas. Yes, I even embroidered on toilet paper. Goodies included bath salts I made, soap covered with embroidered tulle, a kleenex cover, and a microwavable deer corn for aches and pains. It was a Pamper Yourself basket and I found dog print fabric to line the basket with.
Note that the colorful doggie design was another Ronnie (friend) original! She is so creative.

More Miscellaneous Gifts - 2004

There was also the motorcycle leather pillow for Jr (my brother); the Dora Dora pillow for Julia (friend); the tennis towel for Justin (nephew); the cheerleading outfit for Marissa (niece) that Mom made and I embroidered school mascott, school initials, and name on; and a blue jean shirt for Mom.

Easter Basket for Chris - March 2004

2004 was a busy year of trying to embroider as many new and different projects as I could. Chris used to comment that I would embroider on him if he didn't watch out. Well, he was a lucky recipient that year and got an Easter basket that I painted and made a lining for. And then embroidered especially for him. Of course, his favorite part was the goodies inside. I was feeling so creative that year that I even embellished his greeting card with glitter.

Las Vegas Wear - May 2004

Before heading out to our annual LV trip in 2004, I decided we needed some City-Appropriate clothing (especially me). Plus, I'm sure I like to find ways to stress myself out, by doing too much with what little free time I have. I think I ended up embroidering on 11 tees. And later, I cut off the sleeves and necks of most to make them into tanks. During that trip, I had to change at least twice a day, just to get to wear all of them!

Patriotic Tank for Me - July 2004

I made this tank from scratch. And the flag was partially embroidered and partially embellished with Swavorski crystals. The flag is in front and the eagle is on the back. It has become one of my favorite shirts.

From My Friend's Design - April 2004

My friend (and fellow embroiderer), Ronnie, created a ballet design, especially for me. It's call digitizing, which I can't do yet. I loved her design and embroidered it onto a eyeglass cover for myself. I use it all the time and still admire the design!

Little Girl Gifts 2003 thru 2005 - PII

More gifts for Angel. I did not make the blue cap or the diaper cover. I only added the embroidery work. I did not embroider the name on the bear sweater. I made the little skirt and embellished the sweater top. However, I made the gymnastics leotard from scratch.

Little Girl Gifts 2003 and 2004 - PI

Here are some gifts I made for my youngest niece, Angel, when she was between ages 1 and 3. The overalls and pink hat were already made. The Christmas shoes were made entirely by me. And so was the fleece dress with the angel. The angel design on that dress was a 3-part design which was hard to do because of lining up each part to fit exactly where it should so it would all go together properly.

Friend's Baby Boy June 2005

For my friend, Janet's baby, but before I knew his name.

Mother-In-Law Tee July 2004

Georgi loves cats, so I embroidered cat faces on a tee for her. Funny thing is I had found a picture of a tee with painted cat faces in 1998 and had a note to myself to make one similar for Georgi one day. Only I didn't even own an embroidery machine then! I think I was going to applique it. (yeah right)

For Grandma Thru-out 2004

For my Grandmother - I embroidered on some tee-type blouses and on some linen pants. But one of the most-time consuming projects I ever made was a walker caddy for Grandma. Because I could only embroider 4x4 patterns, I had to piece together all 3 of the designs on this walker. And lining up where one part ended and the other started was a bear!
